The greatest names in golf history have come to the southern California golf resort at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa, and now it is time to add your name to the illustrious list of players. The San Diego area resort is home to 36 holes of some of the most challenging, engaging and beautiful courses in the state. Guests staying at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa can quickly get to their tee time at both the Champions Course and the Legends Course because it is only steps from lobby to tee. Each course offers a distinct set of thrilling challenges to test even the most experienced golfer, but don’t forget to stop and take in the beautiful surroundings.

The Omni La Costa Resort & Spa golf program invites guests to explore the same greens that Nicklaus, Player, Mickelson, Woods and more conquered. Start at Champions Course, the only course in California designed by Dick Wilson. Home to the 2012 LPGA Kia Classic, the course has been restored to its original glory and offers new bent grass greens and Bermuda fairways that snake past lurking bunkers. After finishing a round at this 18-hole course, ready the clubs for another day of exciting golf at the Legends Golf Course. The remade course offers guests all-new challenges while preserving the legacy that made the course popular in the first place.

When playing golf in San Diego County, The Crossings at Carlsbad is a must play golf course for those seeking a challenging, risk-reward round of golf. The Crossings at Carlsbad is located about a mile from the Pacific Ocean and just 30 minutes from downtown San Diego.

Voted by GOLF Magazine as one of the “Top 10 New Courses You Can Play.” The Crossings at Carlsbad is more than just a golf course as it captures the warm friendly spirit of its own unique seaside community. Inspired by its surrounding natural coastal habitation, Pacific Ocean views, and protected native flora and fauna, as its backdrop, journey through the rugged canyon terrain, sweeping emerald green fairways, and memorable vistas and discover the unspoiled beauty that will inspire an unforgettable golf experience.

In addition, The Crossings at Carlsbad is pleased to accept the Golf World’s 2010 Readers’ Choice Award as the #1 Public Food & Dining Facility.

With the sparkling blue Pacific Ocean to the west and the Southern California Peninsular Mountain Ranges in the distance to the east, this state-of-the-art, 18-hole championship municipal golf course and event facility offers visitors magnificent views and a relaxing natural environment. Developed and owned by the City of Carlsbad, this public course is nestled among more than 1,000 acres of Carlsbad’s coastal terrain and natural habitat. It’s home to wetlands, sage brush and other plant, animal and bird life.

Named for the five bridges – or crossings – that were designed into the course to meet existing environmental and topographic conditions, The Crossings at Carlsbad also features a lighted practice center and access to The Crossings Trail, a three-mile round-trip walking path that links with the Carlsbad’s extensive Trail System.

The Crossings also offers a 28,000-square-foot clubhouse complete with a golf shop, banquet facilities, a spacious fireplace-lit dining room, full-service kitchen and an outdoor deck with ocean views. The Canyons restaurant, located in the clubhouse, will serve breakfast and lunch daily.
