All Paws Lead to Carlsbad is a pet-friendly tourism initiative designed to make travel to Carlsbad, California with your four-legged friends a breeze. All Paws Lead to Carlsbad brings more than 20 local business offerings, special packages and experiences for pets and their humans to enjoy together this spring. See below for a list of PAW-some activities that will be available at Carlsbad hotels, restaurants, attractions, shopping centers and retail businesses from February to May, 2023.

Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach, a Hilton Resort and Spa
Looking for a coastal resort that locals love? Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach, a Hilton Resort and Spa is hosting fun, pet-friendly activities this Spring. Walk the Carlsbad coastline, then come relax on the Sunset Terrace at Chandler’s Oceanfront Dining to refuel with the resort’s special Puppy Chow menu and doggie treats, available throughout the “All Paws Lead to Carlsbad” promotion. During your visit, stop in at The Break – Sun, Surf & Sand Essentials off the lobby to find fur-baby toys and treats. Cape Rey will also host three “Yappy Hours” from 5pm-7pm at Chandler’s, the resort’s ocean view restaurant on Wednesdays, March 1, April 5 and May 3, 2023. The Cassara Carlsbad, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
The Cassara Carlsbad is an oasis of relaxation in a SoCal setting. Escape in style with beautiful coastline views and a serene atmosphere. Bring your furry friend along to this pet-friendly property! The resort is offering a “Pet-cation” package for guests from now until the end of May, including a goodie bag which consists of treats, water, toy ball and a roll of scented potty bags. It’s time to spend the weekend at the newly renovated Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach with your furry best friend. Take in coastal beach walks and enjoy multiple grassy areas perfect for lawn games for both humans and doggies alike. After some outdoor fun, enjoy snacks at sunset at Coast 6450. The resort is offering complimentary pet amenities for guest’s furry friends including a dog bowl, bed and a complimentary Park Hyatt Aviara branded dog bandana. The in-room pet menu offerings will give guests the opportunity to pamper their pets with special dog treats handcrafted by the on-site culinary team. Also a special “Bark at the Park” cocktail will be served at Pacific Point, Ponto Lago and Ember & Rye, with 10% of cocktail sales donated to the San Diego Department of Animal Services in Carlsbad. 10% of in-room pet menu sales and 50% of the standard pet fee will all be donated to the San Diego Department of Animal Services in Carlsbad. Carruth Cellar
The Carruth Carlsbad, a tasting room for Carruth Cellars, San Diego’s largest urban winery, will feature some fun experiences at their dog friendly location in Carlsbad Village. Wednesday, March 1- Sunday, April 30: Look for Carruth Carlsbad’s special photo contest on @carruthcellars with a custom “I need a drink” doggy bowl. 5pm – 8pm on Thursday, April 20, Carruth Cellars will be hosting their quarterly “Corks for Cause”. A portion of these proceeds from this evening will be donated to Rancho Coastal Humane Society. carruthcellars.com

Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation
With one of the largest systems of nature trails in San Diego Country, Carlsbad offers endless trails to explore. The Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation (AHLF) Discovery Center is the perfect spot to learn about dog-friendly routes in Carlsbad. All visitors and furry friends who come to experience AHLF in March and April will be offered a superhero themed dog bandana and dog friendly trail map (while supplies last). Learn about a new dog-friendly trail each week! AHLF will be highlighting a new pet-friendly trail every Tuesday on their social channels for people to take their dogs to explore. Yoga Your Way, a SUP (stand up paddleboard yoga) class, will be featuring dog friendly treats and donations to the San Diego Department of Animal Services in Carlsbad during their 9AM Sunday classes.
