Oh, how things can change in a year! Every spring, we bask in themes of new growth and warmth in March, April, and May. Pastel hues accompany winter burning off – cool colors with bright undertones that bring hope of new beginnings. Nobody can predict the future, but 2020 certainly threw us all for a loop. Now, the spring of 2021 has arrived, and we are in a season of new beginnings that far surpasses the beginnings we usually look forward to. In 2021, hope is a tangible thing. It is the chance to see family and friends, the joy of interacting with our community, the ability to safely protect loved ones, and the reopening of our favorite places. In Carlsbad, LEGOLAND is a part of this season of reopening. The park has been a mainstay in our city for 21 years. It is a local favorite for residents and a must-visit attraction for tourists from around the country. The California theme park has expanded over the years. It now includes the SEA LIFE Aquarium, the LEGOLAND hotel, LEGOLAND Castle Hotel, and the LEGO CHIMA Water Park. Starting April 1st, the park is hosting Park Preview Days. During this time, select rides experiences will be available with full official re-opening on April 15th. Here is what you can look forward to this spring, as LEGOLAND reopens to the public.
During Park Preview Days, advanced reservations will be required. The park will be operating at a limited capacity, preparing for the full reopening on the 15th. Face masks and social distancing will be in full effect and cashless payment will be available for the utmost in guest safety. If you are a pass holder who has been anxiously awaiting reopening, or if you’re a visitor who is trying to rid yourself of cabin fever, you’re in luck. During the entire month of April, throughout Park Preview Days and the full reopening, priority access will be given to Active Pass Holders, Existing Day Ticket Holders, and LEGOLAND Hotel Guests.
Guests can think of Park Preview Days as a teaser and a VIP experience all wrapped into one. For the first time in over a year, visitors will have access to a select grouping of rides and a sneak peek of the excitement that’s in store. The LEGO TECHNIC Coaster, Driving School (and all of its aged-based variations), Miniland U.S.A., Lost Kingdom Adventure, LEGOLAND Express Train, PLUS, Outdoor Playgrounds, Royal Joust, Fairy Tale Brook, and Coastersaurus are included in Park Preview admission. Guests can easily fill an entire day with rides, dining, live entertainment, and building.

Hotel and Ticket Packages include your choice of a LEGO themed room at the LEGOLAND Resort Hotel, 1 or 2 day Hopper Tickets (after April 15th), in-room treasure hunts for kids, free breakfast, and access to a heated reservation-only resort-style pool. For Park Preview Days from April 1-12, hotel guests will also receive guaranteed access into the LEGO CHIMA Water Park and SEA LIFE Aquarium.
